Help me decide if I keep or return newly purchased 2020 XLEe (Dr Prius data)

    Hello, new owner but still in the 7-day return window, trying to do my due diligence before Wednesday when purchase would become permanent. Vehicle is 2020 XLE AWDe with 38k, one owner with dealer service history

    drives well, MPG says 55.5 mpg, battery filter is clean. Previous owner told dealer that car had sat for over a year between early 2025 and 2026; dealer replaced 12V at that time

    Ran Dr Prius via a Veepeak scanner and have the data below. I wasn’t able to complete the life expectancy test (possibly because of AWDe model as per another user?) and it read about 30-35% driving around which is concerning albeit inconclusive since I couldn’t complete the test.

    is there anything that can be drawn from the other Dr Prius data below?

    Should I take it to the dealer/hybrid mechanic for an expert opinion? Thanks

    The hybrid battery is under warranty and sitting for a year usually won't harm that battery.

    If Massachusetts is a CARB state that traction pack has a 10yr or 150K mile warranty, otherwise Federal warranty is 8yr or 80K miles.

    Dealer doesn't care what Dr Prius states; traction pack needs to throw error codes; before they will do anything about it and most likely just erase the codes to see if they return.

    The traction battery is managed by a wide range of conditions. It's pretty complex. The battery pack rarely reaches a full state of charge, and will do everything to keep from flattening out the traction battery. The 12V only powers up the control systems, and the car won't start if the traction battery is fully depleted.

    If you're getting 55 MPG, that's pretty good. That's all the car is really rated for. How many miles is that 55 MPG? (No magic is going to make it do much more than that. Under what driving conditions? Did you reset one of the trip odometers (and the trip MPG calculation) when you got it (or filled it up last) or are you incorporating the previous driver's MPG into yours?

    I see some battery packs as 24, others at 23, which is a graph scaling issue. I know some of those bars seem to be missing, but they're at 23, not 0.
