Sodium Ion's haven't been on the market for public sale that long. Someone mentioned 2 winters testing, yes those are the beta test cars with different versions of the sodium (Winter 2023 and Winter 2024) yes?
You are correct that the sodium cells in NexPower's beta test packs were different from the production version. However, this is a moot point, as I'm still not convinced the beta packs were actually tested through Winter2023. If I'm correct, then the beta and production cells have the same cold weather testing (i.e. only Winter2024). NexPower's silence is a telling answer.
Inside sources told me that he was already testing the beta Sodium's already towards the end of the V2 not even 2.5 Lithium. Not sure why the source would exagerate the timeline as Jack has always been an innovator and working on things WAY in advance of public knowledge to keep the edge on propriety.
Hi there, What have you done about your battery issue. I am in a similar situation with the Sodium Ion battery replacement. Please tell us if you found a solution???
The title of this thread is incorrect. The OP had a LiFePo4 hybrid battery, not a sodium-ion battery. Did you buy the sodium-ion battery directly from NexPower Energy? When did you buy it? Was it the two-piece design that used cylindrical cells, or was it the GT module design? Have you contacted the company that you bought the battery from?
Hi Sam, I would recommend to check for corrosion in the battery system, make sure all nuts are secured to 3 ft-lbs (most common issue) and send screenshots of Dr. Prius App to [email protected] and we can help troubleshoot. Best, Jack
