I just recently, as in the last couple days moved into a 2024 Gen 5 Prius LE. Sometimes a message comes up on the main screen that tells me that it will shut off after an hour if I don't tell it no. I had this happen one time when I was sleeping in the back. Thankfully I woke up as it's over 100F outside here today. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I have it in park, with the parking brake on and the doors locked form the inside. My 2013 gen 3 Prius would just stay on forever with no complaints. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!
On my Venza, when I open the driver's door to go to my mailbox, a message warns me that the car will shut down after an hour, but also displays the option to keep it running instead. Try opening your door and see if the same message appears on your Prius. The option may also be discussed in your owner's manual (but good luck trying to find it...)
