There is talk of NC and the county involved removing the incentives for VinFast to establish a plant in NC. Roads build, concrete pads laid, not a building to be seen. I live in the area and have seen several of those cars around. Nothing outstanding about them. No idea if purchased, leased or employee cars.
How in the world are suppose to know what Vinfast is? Do they help with VIN numbers in some way? Maybe some more details or link if you want people to comment/engage?
Can't say I know much about Vinfast cars- it's a Vietnamese company, and the cars are pretty stylish. I saw a bunch of them last time I vacationed in the Caribbean.
They probably ran out of money. I think there was/is a dealership in the LA basin, where you could lease an test drive them. I saw one up here about 6 months ago. They only sold 1500 cars in the US last year. VinFast Sold Less Than 1,500 Cars In The US, So Naturally It’s Building A Factory | Carscoops
when government backs business, they share the risks, as well as the rewards. it's a win/win for the pols
Look no further than Stephen Miller ordering the arrest and deportation of 475 South Korean Hyundai employees in Georgia. They were lawfully in the country to finish setting up a factory and train thousands of US workers to run the place. But when your fascist oligarch leaders treat foreign investors who have hundreds of millions at risk not only do they back out on the deal, but you send a message to the entire world that there's no way in hell anyone will ever build a factory in your shithole corrupt country ever again. And the poverty of who we're becoming as a nation continues to accelerate!
