The urban charging hubs are all 180kW split units (so 90kW each if two vehicles are charging). This is much better than the single or twinned 50kW and 100kW units they have within the major city centres. The 50kW and 100kW are 100A and 200A/500V units respectively. I don't know the specs of the 180kW units (forgot to take a look). The 350kW and 400kW are obviously 1000V units. (from ABB and Alpitronic respectively)

IIRC that's pretty much part of vancouver, right?
Seems I saw the glow of flaring at what was most likely from a refinery many years ago in the area.

Which? There is one oil refinery in Metro Vancouver. A small one by today’s standards.

That must be it then - as we're talking back in the later ½ of the 70s.

BC can make more charging their growing fleet of EVs instead of letting the Yankees tax themselves buying electrons.

Wondering if there's going to be a huge fight over power once they throw a couple AI Farms into the mix.

Canadians appear to me to be more taciturn about AI and self-defeating USA practices. “Americans will always do the right thing after exhausting all alternatives.”
