Hello world. I have got myself a 2nd gen prius and id' like to swap it's battery. I am looking for someone who is capable of making a program (preferably for arduino or ESP32) that forwards battery CAN data but changes 0x3CB frame with the SOC value and recalculates checksum. Proper SOC value being "Flying ADC 16 channel BMS". It's described in details at openinverter wiki. Can't post the link here, sorry. I guess battery+ BMS on CAN0 and the car on CAN1. After that's worked out, CCL and CDL are to be spoofed next.
As i said before, can't post links but this "eaa-phev.org" followed by a dash and "wiki/Prius_PHEV_TechInfo" "openinverter.org" followed by dash "wiki/16-cell_BMS" should be easy enough to open. They contain all of the info necessary to know WHAT needs to be changed but I lack the knowledge in HOW to do the job, as in the best i can do with programming is begging AI to write something coherent. Will post the code here and pictures of the swap of course. Once its ready.
Why would you want to convert the SOC value to a constant string? And recalculate the checksum how and for what? Sure you can, just try harder. Post the link as plain text with some backslashes in it. Put enough in and any URL can be entered here. Leaves it to the end user to remove the backslashes.
Why do any of this? What would "spoofing" the hybrid ecu accomplish? The hybrid control system on a Gen2 is designed around the operational properties of nickel metal hydride battery cells. Previous attempts at Li-ion conversions "have not gone well". The two battery chemistries have some differences that should be accounted for in the basic control system design.
