First post and first visit here I am hoping I can fix my car and learn how to do everything to keep my car running I actually dont like cars as I find driving either boring or stressful But what I hate more are the ignorant financial institutions that have driven the poor engineers in this world up the wall to cut corners and make the final boss cars of planned obsolescence I’d like to learn how to recycle and get my genuine value out of materials and not just make my car go to waste and fill up some warren buffet or Larry finks pockets and instead keep my own.

Can you describe your experience and conceptual preparation? Do you have some experience doing repairs of any kind of mechanical or electromechanical things? A bicycle? Table fan? Dishwasher? Do you have a set of tools? Have you had any trade classes in auto mechanics, or what regular school classes have you had in physics? Math? Electronics? Computing? All of those can be valuable background when wrenching on a Prius.
you should probably start with some community college auto mechanic courses. Wanting and doing are two separate things.....
Some third gen maintenance tips in my signature. (on a phone turn it landscape to see signatures.) Concur with other responders. Questions you could answer: 1. What have you done, say oil changes, tire rotation, spark plug replacement, for example, anything like that? 2. What tools do you have? 3.What shop equipment, if any, say floor jack, ramps, safety stands, wheel chocks? 4. Do you have a garage, carport, level driveway? 5. Anyone that could mentor? Concerning the car, what's the miles on it?

Oh fiddlesticks. A Prius engine is pretty simple by modern standards. They're all computer-controlled nowadays, and some are much more elaborate. A Prius transmission is dead simple compared to most. One thing you can say, if you've had some classes in electromagnetism and electronics, you may have more chances to put that knowledge to use than in some other cars. A lot of the other complexity is in driver assist and infotainment features, but that's pretty much across all modern cars.
