what would happen if citizens focused not on politics, pettiness, snide comments but all cooperated to pursue prosecution of the fraud and waste in government.

all the political monkeyshines, pettiness and snide attitudes play right into the hands of the fraudsters- distracting from the core issue of the problem- fraud -and potential solutions to the epidemic of fraud - which help enable a whole new generation of fraudsters all aided and abetted by petty bickering ,distractions and idiotic political gamesmanship.

you can't force people to cooperate. and they won't of their own accord because they don't all agree.
majority rules, that's about the best you can do, unless I'm missing something

Oh, you say that, and also said this, "it really doesn't matter to me who or when the investigations started or who gets the credit", but were the one to bring up the fraud topic as part of a diversion from the negative remarks concerning the CDC leadership's poor decisions. How does the possible catching of more fraud make an anti-vaccine stance leading to more sick with measles better? How is this whataboutism not part of the pettiness you are decrying?

They failed at keeping the public safe from diseases with the cutting of support for vaccines and disease monitoring. Their still doing the job of fighting Medicare fraud doesn't make up for that. Not even if they truly are stopping more fraud. Past statements of good news from this government have ending up being just hype enough times for me to doubt what has happened here to be more than what past administrations have done on stopping this fraud.

I think you're right.... and the post right above this would serve as an exclamation point to your observation

It is long appeared that fraud is very much full-spectrum. But there have been numerous indications that over the past 18 months, federal publicity of fraud schemes has been filtering to highlight blue-tinted fraud, exaggerating as needed, while hiding or putting up blinders to similar red-tinted fraud.

I used to find it hard to image. But not anymore, after seeing one of fraud's grandmasters elevated to an oval room, now gilded.

Trump signs executive order aimed at reducing number of recommended childhood vaccines

    https://us.cnn.com/2026/08/10/politics/trump-vaccine-autism-rfk

Or consult your preferred provider. This may survive Judicial review, TBD. But for now we read:

“Very simply: Large amounts of vaccine, large amounts of — like vats — of vaccine are currently pumped into your child’s body,” Trump said, at another point comparing the amount of vaccine given to children as “the size of a bottle of soda.”

This is an interesting quote calling for quantification :). Not knowing how big vats are, I take a bottle of soda as 12 ounces = 355 milliliters. What volume of vaccines are now being pumped? Current CDC childhood vaccination schedule and overlaid dose sizes are from sources linked in this image.

    vax sked.png

    First year - 10.25 milliliters.
    Second year - 1.25 milliliters.
Total through 6th year - 14.5 milliliters. This is a vat or soda bottle in need of concern from compliant agreeing readers. It is also the volume of 3 teaspoons.

Insanity is for readers to define or distract from.

An executive order can direct agencies but not private parties. If some choose to follow Trump, fine. As Deming said, ‘change is inevitable but survival is not guaranteed.’

IMHO - He's doing this through executive orders because he KNOWS that it won't pass muster or scientific testing. He's just pandering to his tin-foil hat base; hoping that it will be enough to keep him in power.

    Just my 2-cents....

If you trust your government, the fda, cdc, dr fauci, and your own docs, don’t read this book, I wish I hadn’t, ignorance is bliss

We used to live in a world where the TRUTH mattered, laws were followed, and in almost all cases you couldn't buy a get out of jail card. You noticed I didn't say FREE; apparently federal pardons are a million dollar, Hail Mary that may get you out of jail. A guarantee would imply a bribe.

This is how democracies dies - not from a single cut; but by thousands of very small cuts that eventually kills the patient.

    Just my 2-cents....

The Vaccine Debate: When Both Sides Talk Past Each Other | Voice for Science and Solidarity

"The Vaccine Debate: When Both Sides Talk Past Each Other
Watching the public debate about vaccines has become increasingly frustrating. On one side are strong supporters of vaccination. On the other are vocal critics. Both groups argue passionately and often bitterly, each convinced they are defending science.
But to many observers the debate has started to look strange: the two sides often talk past each other instead of addressing the same question."

"Over time I realized something important: neither side is necessarily wrong. The real problem is that both are asking the wrong question.
Instead of endlessly arguing about whether existing vaccines should be accepted or rejected, we should be asking a different question:
Can we design immunization strategies that protect populations while ruling out risks to individuals?"

what would be the point of the public asking each other that question?
the medical professionals who design the drugs have whatever limited proof that they work, along with potential side effects.
the people who haven't designed any sometimes argue that the existing ones are dangerous.
then there are tweeners who like some and dislike others, or the ones who cross over and defend the other side.
we have had a long history of vaccines. not just the us, but the whole world. what more can we accomplish as fallible humans?
