    I for one am pleased by success of this novel Presidential-safing ruse. Martyrdom so close before Midterm Elections would have changed things bigly.

    Vice Vance may not yet have developed into role that money MAGA requires - on that he ought to take the hint soon, as ‘47’ could ‘86’ at any time. This is not wishing ill. President Trump has bumbled into a very consequential media life, and paid Cohen etc. well to dissimulate and sue, so other bumblings got hidden under something else.

    He's had 'a life', but has he provided a roadmap for future grifters at highest level? A roadmap for future American Presidents guiding a Nation previously renown for inclusion? Readers might express thoughts.

    Anyway, Food Catering Box ONE was a complete success.

    One of the news reports mentioned fear of shoulder-fired missiles. That would seem to suggest a risk very near the Ankara airport, before craft gain much altitude.

    A report also mentioned that AF-Q and AF-legacy1 both appeared on public flight tracking websites, though not initially under recognizable codes. But C-32A never so appeared, being recorded only by ground plane spotters.

    MS NOW just ran a 2 minute segment on the plane-switch story. It had excerpts from other news sources, analyses, and non-photoshopped images of airplanes. No catering containers though.

    Wherever @Zeppo Shanski rancor came from, it would not have been this.

    Yeah, but you have to use seat-miles per gallon for any reasonable equivalency to a commuter car context.

    The last one I flew on (Summer 2021 Lufthansa SFO-FRA) had 364 seats. Assuming that 0.18mpg is true for that model when full, that's better than 65smpg.

    Queen of the sky airframes have been demoted to freight hauling where fuel costs are 'passed along' industry wide.

    Newer planes for pax hauling manage with one burner per wing and save 10% or more on fuel. They also slowed down to <0.86 Mach, which ruffles wing feathers less.

    As thread starter I am perfectly happy to wander off. Trump survived the ruse, decoy planes didn't get shot down, and we really ought to look for something else to distract attention from an American President in decline.

    I personally look to Todd Blanche to do some blanching. Looping back to fine food provided by airline caterers and their containers.

    It seem he uses mostly Daily Kos, I check it occasionally because a family member receives its emails, but don't use it as a first or second tier source.

    I cut the TV cable forty years ago, before any of the newfangled cable news channels were offered by the local provider, so don't have standing to compare it to MSNOW or any others that genre.
