More for fun, Rich Rebuilds got a $100, junkyard Prius working and then took it on a trip. Those who have wrenched their own Prius may enjoy this tale of woe:

    • 12 V battery missing
    • Traction battery missing
    • Catalytic converter missing
    • Cowling disassembly to change spark plugs
    Here is his trip report:

    • 3,700 mile test drive
    • Independent shop repair at destination
    • One CVT joint failure near success return
Entertainment for those who have wrenched their rides.

Myself and others reached out to him when these videos first came out and we got a repsonse and started making plans and a minute later Rich Rebuilds was on to a far more interesting luxury edition Lexus hybrid with limousine like comforts, which is a far more fun/inspsiring resurection video than his Prius video. We never got a reply from our messages again.

I noticed that too. He starts more projects than completes. But often entertaining.
