EGR/Intake Manifold Cleaning

    "Can the MAP sensor sense MAP when there's oil on it?" would be my first question. If I looked at the reading with the engine off and it was kinda close to what my local weather service was saying, and then it went down with the engine idling, I'd probably leave it alone and call it a day.

    So just ran the engine with new coolant and was confused as to the engine light being on, ran diagnostic code check and said MAF/MAP sensor issue. There I was telling myself should of left the MAP sensor alone...turns out I forgot to connect the MAF sensor on the air intake cable back as it was tucked away behind the ribbon! Gave me a right fright.

    Indeed aware, however not sure if such a small amount warrants one. yet? Readily available kits seem to be quite pricey here in the UK. At 222,000 miles I'd be happy if it survived till 300,000, beyond that who knows.

    Few more photos, the spark plugs I pulled as well as the old PCV valve. Spark plugs are from 1-4 (left-right) starting from the oil cap side.
