Why can't I use battery modules from a Gen 3 in a Gen 2 pack?

    I've looked at quite a few posts on the interwebs about this. My current understanding is that the Gen 3 modules will physically fit alongside the ones from a Gen 2. If I'm wrong, stop me now. Otherwise, if they DO fit, and I go through a thorough reconditioning process... why should I not attempt this? TIA

    I'm not aware of them being different. I think the gen 2 modules got a smidge longer than gen 1's.
