What a sad, sad life she had...
Hopefully her little daughter can live a more 'normal' life when she grows up. Imagine having Ms. Smith as your mother...

Actually, it was probably the best thing that could have happened to her child. Seriously.

Her daughter now has a chance to grow up in a normal family. Before this, the child was most likely bound to follow in her mother's footsteps.

Anna Nicole Smith. I loved to see her on television(especially when she was in shape!), I just always had to make sure the television was muted so the images would not be spoiled. ;)

Unless she ends up as the recipient of the entire $494 million from ANS's dead husband...then she'll grow up surrounded by people wanting a piece of it once she's old enough to control it. Seriously, her interests would be best served if the law suit gave the money to the dead husband's immediate family, the real father is identified and doesn't have more than enough money to raise the kid in a normal level of comfort outside the limelight of ANS's life. I think that combination is unlikely.

If she did, that would be pretty surprising, as Phen-Phen hasn't been commercially available anywhere in the world for quite a few years.

Phen-Phen caused heart valve damage in a very, very small percentage of the individuals that took it. That hasn't stopped an endless stream of lawsuits from being filed by patients (real and otherwise) seeking damages from taking the drug. Some of the more surprising lawsuits were from people that had proven heart valve damage before ever taking the drug, though they claimed the drug caused their condition. The drug's manufacturer has paid out about 19 billion dollars as a result of lawsuits, settled cases, and negotiated settlements supervised under a court agreement.
