Sorry, but you can't. Yet. Motorola is going to release an update to this phone & you'll need to probably take it into a Verizon shop to get it flashed.

    V710 Moto Response

I was really disappointed to see all the comments about the V710 (moreso since I had just purchased the thing!). Wrote to Motorola yesterday and rec'd this response today:

    Dear Lisa Jensen,

Thank you for contacting Motorola E-mail Support.

Regarding your concern, for your information, currently the Motorola V710 phone distributed in North America supports Mobile Phone Tools only through USB cable connection. A solution to support Mobile Phone Tools over a Bluetooth connection should be available later this year. Unfortunately, we lack of a more accurate time frame.

This means that, due to the lack of the OBEX profile, the V710 phone can only support Bluetooth capability for pairing-up with the headset and for using the phone as a modem. It cannot be used for data synchronization like phonebook and calendar, nor for media transfer, like pictures and ringtones.

The phonebook in your V710 phone cannot synchronize with the phonebook of your car kit via Bluetooth. That is why the phone numbers in the phone do not transfer down to the car's phone book and the voice commands are inoperable.

As stated above, we are expecting a solution later this year.

I hope this information has been of your help. I remain at your entire disposal for any further questions you may wish to ask. Please accept my apologies for all this inconvenience.
