Hi - I need help also ! We noticed left rear tire tread worn off, and outer 2" completely bald. Toyota dealer started checking and asked if we had been in an accident. I was rear-ended Mar. 6,2006. An appraiser for our Ins. co. visually inspected the car at our house (never on an alignment rack, never removed the bumper). Reported only a 2 foot crack across bumper.Miles then 11,000, now at 22,000. Today, Toyota dealer suggested we take car back to their( subcontract) body shop to reopen insurance claim. Body shop said no way accident could have bent the beam and a strut. Insurance company said we could start a new claim but we would have to say it was our fault (because they said it was obviously not from the accident and we must have hit something). We never hit anything ! Repair cost is 1200 for the new beam plus a minimum of $400 labor, just to start ! We might need even further repairs along with 4 new tires. And . . . the Toyota Platinum warranty does not cover damage from collisions !

Has anyone else had this problem ? Thanks, Shirley in Bakersfield, CA
