    Hey guys,
My wife and I bought a used 2005 Prius. It is a lower level package I guess because it does not have navigation, leather, sunroof, or bluetooth. I am just wondering what all would be needed to be purchased to have navigation and bluetooth. Is it a new headunit, new screen, what?
Also, I heard a rumor that the screen could be used to watch DVDs if an external player was hooked up in the car... is this true. More info on that please if possible.
And the last thing I am wondering is IPOD help. I see alot of Ipod topics on the forum. What can be bought so that I can listen to my ipod thru the speakers and have the controls operated thru the factory head unit?
thanks for reading all this and for the help

    :) Hi jrod81

:( I hate to discourage you, but the short answer is "Trade for a Prius with NAVIGATION and BlueTooth already installed."

These systems are so integrated into the Prius, that it is virtually impossible to simply add them after manufacture. There are simply too many elements involved. The 'sunroof' is not a Prius option. I did read some months back that one Prius had one installed at considerable cost.

Both of your questions have previously been discussed on PriusChat... Try "Search."

It would cost ALOT of money to get bluetooth and navi added. Better to get some aftermarket navi and bluetooth adapter instead, it may not look as clean, but it will actually work better alot of the time.

You could watch DVD's with some modifications, but it's not gonna look very good.

For the iPod, the Priuschat store sells the DICE kit.

I've been looking casually into GPS units and some of them seem to have bluetooth built in. The one I was looking at was a Tom Tom.
