I paid $500 on my credit card to get a place in line, they say the money is refundable if I back out later.

Customers receiving delivery now placed their orders in November 2003, so looks like about an 8 month wait.

Saleslady said mine would be a 2005 model, and that the price might
increase a few hundred, but no changes were being made. She said they would call if any other folks on the list in front of me cancelled, but apparently that has not happened yet.

 

Yah, I'm not sure where I am on the list now, I was 50 or so back in July, I'll call and post it here. I think that Tysons Toyota has higher volume though, but Leesburg is closer for me.

I suppose you could get on two lists, but keep in mind you will need to pay $500 (refundable) at each.

That sounds unusual, I might need to check that out.

I just called the Leesburg dealership and the saleslady said I am about #60 on the list (I think her previous guess of 50 was more of a guess), and that customers placing orders in January are receiving theirs now.

She also said Toyota has increased production.

 

Just got an update, should have delivery in february or maybe even late january. She said there are about 10-15 people in front of me still (although she also said 1 or 2, I think that was a mistake).

 

Leesburg Toyota just called me asking if I wanted to take deilvery on a Salsa Red BC#9 that some other customer cancelled on. I passed on it, red being probably my least favorite color.

There are 1-2 customers ahead of me for the Tideland Pearl color, 10-15 total.
