I just installed a full set of Silverstars (headlamps and fogs) on my wife's Outback, which had miserable lights stock. They were very easy to install, though I hear the Prius is more of a challenge. The reason I'm writing is that our (LA) Sunday paper had a coupon for Pepboys offering a twin pack for $19.99. Pepboys discounts them via the coupon, and you have to mail-in for a $10 rebate. Its the best price I have seen. My Prius is HID, so I only did the wife's Outback. I think it was the Prius HIDs that made me hate the Outback's lighting (after 10 years of living with it).
The only downside I hear is that the Silverstars don't last as long, that's why I like the cheap price :)

On the newer Prii, remove the fuse box cover on the left side and that'll gain enough access to make things easier. Just replaced bulbs on my wife's Prius and it was a snap. One other tip, on the rubber boots, push them all the way out so when you replace them, the boot clears the bulb when you lock it in place. Once locked, put your finger in the hole (guys! ) against the terminals on the bulb so the boot doesn't catch and use your free fingers to push the boot around the base of the bulb...
