    Hi there,

I have an early '05 Prius with no nav. :) Can I:

    1. Install CoastETech's Ultimate Lockpick to play DVDs through the MFD even though I have a CanView V3? (or do I need to remove the CanView as it uses the same input into the back of the MFD?)

    2. Have multiple AV sources that run through a switcher and then into the Lockpick?

    3. Control the DVD audio level through the stereo deck and steering wheel controls?

Also, I thought that the stock Prius stereo did not have auxilliary audio input - how does the Lockpick overcome this?

    Thanks!!!!! :D

I don't know about the ultimate lockpick, but I just installed the basic lockpick last week. It doesn't interfere with Can-View in anyway that I can tell, nor does Can-View affect it. The signals that aren't used just seem to pass though. I haven't tried to engage the video function of Can-View though. Mine is an '05 with Nav.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply. So have you tried playing an external video and audio source through the lockpick yet? Does the basic lockpick allow this?

    Thanks. :)

Nope. The basic lockpick only turns off the "I agree" message and lets you input destination information while moving. It's really only useful if you have navigation. I haven't had a reason to play video. It's tempting enough to just use look at the display too much. If anyone wants to watch DVDs, I'd just get a little portable player with screen so I wouldn't be tempted to look at it.
