I did most of the paperwork last night bfore I found this sight today, but still have some time before I pick up my new Prius #2 pkg. The purchase price is $23,714. The dealer wants to sell me a ResistAll Apperance Package for $699. and an extended warrenty for $2040. Having read through the posts, I will decline the extended warrenty, but am still wondering about the protection package. Would a can of scotchguard do me just as well?

The protection packages are usually great money makers for the dealer. I'd pass on it.

A can of scothguard WILL work wonders. And I'd tell them I'd expect a fine car the the Prius would be delivered expertly waxed:)

:) The base price for your soon-to-be-new-Prius sounds good --BUT-- {QUOTE: "ResistAll Apperance Package for $699. and an extended warrenty for $2040"} represent not only very high profits for the dealer but not good value for your money.

If you decide you would want an Extended Warranty, your PriusChat contact offers the same warranty you'd pay the dealer $2,040 at about $1,000... and it can be purchased any time before the expiration of the bumper-to-bumper 3 year or 36K mile warranty. Since the Extended Warranty is essentially an "Insurance Policy" there's no assurance that its future prices will stay the same. Even so, if you want one, you could buy it now for half the expenditure.

    YOU'RE GONNA *LOVE* YOUR PRIUS

I'm new at this today, and haven't figuted out what a PM is or where to find. The price did not include tax and license. They did offer 2.9 % financing 60 months so that helped.

Pm means private message. If you have a private message it will say you have private message on the top right of the page. Mine always says "you have 0 private messages" LOL
