This also got posted over on Prius_Technical_Stuff. I spent
yesterday exploring the 12V battery and related system issues, to
determine unit size, charging/regulation, and type. Have fun:

    Excellent work/write-up!!!

I spend an inordinate amount of time in my car...upgraded stereo, laptop and several accessories and a frig all running of inverters. I have been looking to upgrade the battery to protect me from running it dry. You research puts me several steps closer.

Did you happen to measure the terminal/posts?

Am I wrong or does it look like, if you remove the Toyota battery bracket, there would be an extra 1-2 inches in length and perhaps an extra inch in width.

Also would the positive battery terminal assembly bolt on to this Lynx Battery Terminal (thanks to egb6550) if so this would adapt to standard SAE post and hence a easier way to replace the battery.

    As always good work.
