    :) Howdy lordmakemeworthy

I quote you: "in my thoughts a vehicle with wider tires and that sits up higher (Touring Edition)"

The Touring Edition does not 'sit up higher.' The 16" wheels are equipped with Bridgestone Turanza tires which are a lower profile than the Goodyear Integreties, thus the overall diameter of the wheel-tire assembly is virtually the same as the 'standard' 15" wheel with Goodyear Integrety tires. One advantage of the Bridgestones is the larger 'footprint' {more rubber on the pavement} which improves traction and handling and seems to slightly decrease MPG.

How exactly WIDER tires make car sit HIGHER? 16" means bigger RIM not bigger WHEEL. With bigger rim you get lower profile time to keep overall wheel height the same.
