    I am 60% geek.

You are a geek. Good for you! Considering the endless complexity of the universe, as well as whatever discipline you happen to be most interested in, you'll never be bored as long as you have a good book store, a net connection, and thousands of dollars worth of expensive equipment. Assuming you're a technical geek, you'll be able to afford it, too. If you're not a technical geek, you're geek enough to mate with a technical geek and thereby get the needed dough. Dating tip: Don't date a geek of the same persuasion as you. You'll constantly try to out-geek the other.

OK, so maybe you ain't a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you're probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae. God, I hate you.

You have to be at least 57.83% geek to understand the quiz well enough to take it, which means you have to take the quiz in order to find out if you CAN take the quiz. I only got 29% so I didn't bother taking the quiz.

Only a true geek would even take that test. Nice try, but you're not going to fool me that easily.

I didn't get past the first question, anyway. Who the heck is Poindexter? :)

Wow. I did better than I thought. Kinda scary.

You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.

I did object to the car question. If they've updated the quiz that question should include a Prius, other hybrid or an EV, flex fuel or something. Even a Segway.

    I scored 25 %.

However, I don't know if it is good or bad to be a geek.

I did not answer some questions, since none of the answers was correct for me.

According to this test, to the extent that I could answer the questions, I'm 42% geek, which makes me a "geek liaison". But this is obviously a very flawed quiz. Either you talk about inane stuff like who was on the Osbornes last night, or you talk about network routers (what about art, politics, etc.). And you either drive a sports car or SUV or else you drive a Neon or a car with grafitti all over it- no option for driving a Prius, for cryin' out loud!

At $2.60 per gallon and going up fast, I'll be as geeky as you want to save money on fuel. I also noticed 8 other Prii today on my 60 mile round trip to civilization. Normally, I only see one if lucky. I guess geeks are spreading. :p

The quiz was really dumb. I am convinced it is dumb on purpose. As noted by one poster above, many of the questions are so obviously incomplete that the writer clearly was not taking it seriously. I suspect that the scores are generated at random, without any reference to your actual answers.

I picked the "best answer" in each question, but few of them had an option anywhere near what I'd have answered.

Here are a few things I have to admit:
    - I did take the time to try and equate individual MP3s to CDs.
    - The gender question really was pretty straight forward.
    - Ooo, the girls of the Internet. I'd go online with them any day!
    - Do two grapes in the microwave actually spark?

But feel I lean more to the Nurd side than geek.

Yeah! At 55% geeky I can keep my screen name!

Darn quiz frustrated me. I kept wanting to press none of the above and go into a long debate...

ps- I cheated. I voted 100% before realizing I was supposed to take the quiz. Go ahead, call me names. Sticks and stones may break my bones....

    46% = liaison

    whatever.

Here's a quiz I consider more relevant, because it speaks to my generation (40 something).

See how many items in the following video relate to you personally. If you're a geek, it'll be easier to count how many items do not relate.
    <<geek quiz video>>

I can relate to almost everything in there. B)

    "You are -2% geek
Boy, you really broke through the bottom on this one. You are SO not geek. I recommend staying away from conventions, computer stores, colleges, universities, or anywhere else people might display the slightest interest in something other than what's on TV at the present moment. Your mere presence among geeks of any degree is incredibly dangerous to the continued existence of the known universe. Here, I'll say it slow so you can understand: Anti-geek + Geek = Big Boom. Now go read a book, for god's sake."

Hmm.... I always knew I wasn't a geek, but this number surprised me. I should stay away from universities?

    I'm a 40% - that's about what I figured I'd be.
