The power button has been acting up for the last few months, sometime not turning on or off when depressed. Other times the radio would come on by itself. Now the button is totally disfunctional. Another strange thing happening is every so often, after filling up, the average mpg readout resets itself on its own.
I drove by the dealership last night and they told me if it was only the radio power button they could order the new radio and call me when it comes in. But because of the resetting problem they need the car for a few hours to do some dynastic test.
Anyone else out there with similar problems?

That's weird, but sounds like it should be under warranty. I always use the steering wheel button to turn on/off the radio though (hold down "mode" for a couple seconds to turn off).

Thanks for the info about the wheel power button, I hadn’t realized it worked that way.
I took the car by the dealership and left it for the day. They called to tell me the problem was more than just the power button, but included all the controls horizontally in the same row, like disk load, disk unload, sort, ….
They ordered a new radio and told me to remind them to return the disks after the radio gets replaced. They need to send the old unit somewhere to remove the disks.
As for the self resetting average mileage readout, they said there were no faults found, so I needed to monitor it. Right after leaving the dealership I filled up the tank and within one mile of leaving the gas station the total miles reset itself to 0, but the average miles remained at 45.3.
    STRANGE

They all work that way, or similar. I think on my 2005 both mile and MPG would reset. On my 2007, the miles resets like yours. If you push the Reset screen button it will clear the current MPG and miles and start fresh.
