Do you park directly next to other Prii when you encounter them in a lot?

I too have experienced the mysteriously powerful magnetism of parking lot Prius several times.

Ooooh! Wouldn't it be sweet if there was a whole litter of them? If only we could get them to multiply like rabbits here in the midwest...

Absolutely - I also enjoy driving near other Prii on highways ... birds of a feather....

My silver '07 is parked right now next to an identical one (at work), except hers has a bumper sticker. Mine will soon have a ham radio antenna (there goes 1 or 2 mpg). She got hers first, last fall and waited several months for it to arrive. I picked mine off the lot 8 days ago. Usually I'm the trendsetter!!

I would park next to one whenever I can, knowing the the other Prius would probably not ding my door. And park facing into the wind (face west in most of NM this time of year)... so the car next to mine will not have the wind catch the door and crease mine.

I definitely park next to another Prius if I encounter one. If I am lucky I have my camera with me and can take a picture. Back in 2004 that was few and far between, especially here in TX. Generally see one a day now I try and waive too, but most people think I am just loony I have had a few pleasant conversations with Prius owners.

I try to talk with any hybrid owner though, but have only caught other Prius owners and a HCH owner.

Park next to someone? You mean, put my new car at risk of somebody breathing on it (or dinging the doors). No, no, no! I park miles away and walk. This car should save me money and get me fit!

But I did see a Prius exactly like mine a few days ago and it still had the dealer tags on it, so I figured they would not ding my doors. I parked next to it and thought it made almost as cute a scene as a couple of matching puppies.

I parked my new 1987 Jetta far away from everything for a few years. It became a habit. Twelve years later when I sold it at 218,000 miles to a family member (who went on to get it to almost 300,000 miles on it -- and it still never used oil!), it looked like an old car. Time takes its toll, no matter how far away you park and walk. No matter how many dings you avoid. (Same can be said for the human body....)

The earlier poster was right. May as well kick the door in and get it over with....

what's sad is that now that I work at said dealership, I have to park WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY in the back of the lot, so my Prius has to view the other Prii from afar. :(

I found Fiona face-to-face with another Prius when I came out of American TV yesterday. I waited a few minutes, but the other owner didn't appear. Apparently another geriatric ower as both Prii were in Senior Citizen parking.

This makes me chuckle. There are SO many prii all over the place here. I had no idea they were purposefully sandwiching my SUV though. I will admit to ducking into it guiltilly when I see their owners come by.

Maybe not for long, though. ;)

I usually do as well. Right now I'm traveling and the counter person at Hertz says they won't have thier fleet of Prius until the summer here in Washington DC. So, I sheepishly parked my rental Mazda 6 next to one in the parking garage at my destination.

You should have put a note of apology on its windshield, explaining where your "real" car was. :p

Portland HSD Meetup Members do it once each month. Besides the six in this picture, there was another White Pruis over the right sholder of the photograhper, but some not so Prius car got in between him and the rest of the group. The eighth Prius was Bright Red across the row from this lineup.

So what is your favorite color? We are missing the Beige, Black and Metalic Gray.

My car is the Silver Pine Mica in the very back. Then there is a Blue Touring next to mine that doesn't show very well behing Bill's Silver special.

    Yes - sometimes a spontaneous Prius meet-up happens! :)

Dave, I did consider it, but was running too late. Next time, there are quite a few in the DC area.

There are two others within 20 feet of my designated parking space -- and I pass another four or five on the way in. Couldn't avoid them if I wanted to -- and I don't.

I did the same thing too. Parked next to a prius when going to subway, and yes everyone calls me "weird", i like to think im "special", lol

I remember going downtown once about 12 midnight when i pulled up to two other prius's driving, it was pretty cool, 3 right next to each other. I feel weird though cause everyone who owns a prius in Idaho that ive seen is like in there 50's and im 20, not that age matters but you get the point, i hope.
