Good taste! We picked up an '07 Seaside Pearl last week, although didn't want the GPS option so we did package 4 instead. Here in the east we had a heck of a time getting this color. Enjoy!

Hi. I will be joining you all next week when my 07 Seaside Pack #1 gets delivered. I have also been learning so much from this forum. Thanks for the great info! Have been feeling a little wary though after reading all the small, electric issues that have been cited, but crossing my fingers that my car will be one of those low-maintenance ones :)

Welcome and relax. I believe all car lines have some individual units that have some minor problems. Toyota has some but the point is they have fewer than average. The difference is perception. In American cars you expect to have a few minor problems. In a Toyota you expect to have no problems. You will find the Prius makes many strange noises and can do some really unexpected things. Part of the excitement is learning that they are normal. We help each other out by isolating the abnormal and hopefully saving some embarrassing and completely unnecessary trips to the dealer. The first few times the engine turns off can be disconcerting. When the last pip on the gas gauge (guess gauge) starts flashing, the single beep can be startling. Enjoy the car.

We're waiting delivery of our '07 pkg 5, sliver mica pine. Can't wait. We made an all cash deal for $25.000 strait up. We dickered on the extended warrantee, (something I wouldn't buy in most cases, but the exotic nature of the car, plus the "don't use it, get paid back" deal and I plan on driving the car 'till it drops, the idea of max protection sounded good).

This is the only brand new car I have ever bought, (I'm in my mid fifties!) an probably the only one. I have know idea if I negociated well or not, never having done it before. Anyone have an opinion,

I would say for an '07 package 5 you did quite well at 25k cash. We had to negotiate quite a bit to get our price and this was our third new car in three years from this dealer. B)
