    First post! :D

My Prius was in an accident and the hybrid badges were not put back on by the auto body shop. Where can I buy these badges? Anywhere besides the dealership?

Thanks so much I love the site!!!!

Your body shop should have put them back on. You could ask the body shop if they would order some for you because, I would think it would be their responsibilty to restore the Prius to the state it was in before or as close as possible. You can get them at Sigma Automotive as the last poster said.

P.S. Sorry to hear you got in an accident. What happened?

    Edit: P.P.S. Welcome to PriusChat!

Yikes! Must have been a bad accident if both fenders were repaired/replaced.
If I were buying the badges on my own, I'd probably go to Sigma or another source, and I'd look on eBay. But since the body shop is responsible for restoring your car to its pre-accident condition (if it's an insurance repair, call your insurance company and tell them that your are not satisfied with the repair if the shop is not cooperative), tell the body shop that you want the badges put back on. Let them decide where to get them' they might prefer to go through a Toyota dealer.

    If I were you (accident / no re-install) . . . I'd leave 'em off. Less aerodinamic/more drag :p

    Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and help! I should clarify that only one fender was damaged and not both. Sorry for the misinformation! If both badges were missing I am sure my Prius would have been in serious, serious trouble! :p

I was hit on the driver's side by a Ford SUV who ran a red light. Fortunately, the driver was able to slow down somewhat before impact so the damage wasn't too, too bad. But regardless nobody wants their beautiful car to be hit in an accident!

I will chat with my auto-body shop and inquire as to why the badges were not installed when the work was done.

    Thank you!

Your profile says you have a 2005. 2005 models don't have the side HYBRID emblems.

Oh, like you can't get them (and the chrome grille) and put them on a 2005 to dress it up. :)

haha but I meant the reason why the auto body shop didn't put the on is because it didn't come with them in th first place (unless he added them before the crash)
