Just got EBH today come on sunshine !!!!

    Just received the engine block heater today from Burnsville Toyota for the price of 38.49 plus 8.95 shipping

    part number is c0140-00889 on the box on the invoice has p/n 00113-00213-00889 pyroil engine heater
    at least got the part numbers figured out now lol

    I will try the install myself when it drys up and warms up again.

    too cold and wet to work outside NO Garage only carport. :(

    I just recieved mine yesterday from Metro.

    I'm thinking of installing mine at Hybridfest for
    two reasons. Might be educational for others wanting
    to do it, plus if I run into problems I'm sure there will
    be others there that have already installed one to bail
    me out. :)

    I have ramps. Is there any other tools required?

    From what i've read a pair or two of disposable gloves , the grease is pretty messy.
    I don't have ramps but do have jack stands .
    We were thinking of going to the hybridfest to if wife can take her vacation then.
    I am disabled so no longer working.

    I talked my older brother into getting me a before birthday present of the EV mod kit from coastal e tech, he agreed so I let him drive our prius today and he wants a prius now. it was kinda like blackmail he wanted to drive it I said I wanted the EV mod.
    worked out well for both..LOL :)

    No other tools required, just the know how...... and actually the grease is not that bad, but you will need to wipe it off your hands to fish the cable through the engine.

    From what I remember watching Wayne and Rich do, they dropped the EBH down throught the top of the motor, then he slid under the car and installed the plug end. That way the cable was already threaded throught the back of the motor by the firewall, and all he had to do was run the cable to the front and thread it through the grill.

    Remember to use the black tie downs that come with the EBH to secure the cord and keep it from flapping around. Also, dont forget the snip the ends off the cord for that "professional, finished" look... :D :D

    After reading Evans post , I looked at the plug end that goes on the heater and found that my plug also had the orange rubber in the contacts, so it made plugging into the heater hard until cleaned away the excess rubber on the contacts. oh and I did plug it in for a second heats up nice and fast. so I know it's going to work.

    Thanks for confirming the part numbers. The tank is full of gas, just in case. But if I did come it would be #21 (as of now). Carports are better than other places I've done it! And you found out one of the good prep aids, plug the end into the heater before you install the heater.

    If you want to wait for Hybridfest that's great, I'll be there for the Sunday morning "mod session". No other tools except a wire cutter as Rangerdavid said to "finish" the zip ties. OR if you want to come to Milwaukee for the Milwaukee Hybrid Group meet-up on April 21st we can do it in the parking lot (been there, done that a few times).
