    If you've seen this already, I apologize in advance. It may be
    old, but I just saw this yesterday.

    1. go to www.google.com
    2. click on "maps"
    3. click on "get directions"
    4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
    5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
    6. click on "get directions"
    7. scroll down to step #23





    Go google!

    Actually, I guess it was supposed to be "miserable failure", and apparently Google has altered the search algorithm to confound "Google bombing". Turns out that searching on just "failure", by coincidence, brought up Bush's official home page as the first search result.

    Not quite as amazing as it looks. Try San Francisco to Honolulu and Google says it can't calculate directions for that sort of drive. New York to Cairo was also incomputable. Looks like a very few select routes were hand programmed in. New York to Bergen Norway produced directions - but with a LONG cross-country drive across Europe and Scandinavia to get there, after having swum from New York to France. I guess that North Sea ocean is too cold to swim in! :p
