My dealer said XM Radio wasn't available as a dealer-installed option, but should be available this Summer. The Prius Web Site says it will be available in April. Anybody have news? I'm missing my XM!

Just get one at a store or off ebay and have it installed. The dealer will rip you off.

How much are they charging you?

FYI, the dealer cost on the unit itself is only $110. Takes a pro about an hour to install, but their installers get paid by the job, not by the time. So dealer cost on the install should be around $100 to a max of $140. Keep that in mind. Also, find out about the warranty on the unit. Some dealers will give you the same as the car 3/36,000 and some will only give you the same as an off-the-shelf one.

My Dealer quote was $450 if it was part of the 'deal' otherwise they quoted $895 after the fact. According to them it was available right now, although I elected to do it myself down the road for less $ and more peace of mind that I was the one taking the dash apart.

Mine was installed today and works beautifully. The 16-character dispay is great as well. I posted further details as a separate topic in this forum.

Can one just use a stand alone XM. Ebay currently has

"Brand New Delphi Roady XT SA10276 xm2go Portable XM Satellite Radio Receiver with Car Kit
    Model No. SA10276"

    for $44.99

It's in the PC Shop for $260:

I think the $100 dealer cost figure might be for 1 part of the unit. The XM unit in total is 2 different parts. I know that the price charged through the PC Shop barely covers PayPal fees and the price of the units.

No antenna most likely. You're selling your complete kit near at your cost, but no dealer would be as willing to do the same good thing as you. They may get it for less, and they'll still charge more than you.
