I put Frito's corn chips in mine, or tortilla chips (which are most likely corn as well)... aka Frito Pie

Mayonaise is good (very popular in western Europe), but give me honey-mustard sauce anytime!

I voted for ketchup, but I like french fries with either ketchup, mayonaise, honey mustard, ranch, but just about any of those sauces would be fine with me.

I chose mayo, but my second choice is brown mustard with sugar mixed into it.

Up until a year ago, only salt. I never eat ketchup...it is the most disgusting food on this planet.

I live in Palmyra, NY, where we have a Mormon pageant each summer. Last summer we noticed the local diner put up a sign that said "Welcome Mormons, we have fry sauce" I had never heard of fry sauce so I asked about it the next time I ordered fries. Turns out is it a mix of mayo, ketchup and "secret sauces". I tried it and liked it, even if it did have ketchup in it. (ketchup mixed with other things can be ok, straight ketchup is a definite NO!)

Apparently, fry sauce is popular in Utah and many of the visitors were asking for it so they started serving it here. Only problem is, it is only available at one diner, during the summer, when all the tourists are here.

Salt and vinegar if with fish and chips. Just salt if with ham egg and chips. Most chip shops in the Uk will charge extra for ketchup, why anyone would want to spend money to ruin their food is beyond me.

I agree with Squidward, that Mayo is VILE.

Seasoning/salt only. Dino's gyros have this amazing seasoning you can buy (or add to their fries for 20 cents). I'm addicted to it. I now keep some at work and home for seasoning fries from other joints.
I'll use ketchup sometimes if the fries are dry. But I don't eat mayo, cheese, or mustard on anything.

I have a friend who always dipped his fries in mayo and I thought he was insane. Until I tried it.

    Yum!

    In order of preference:

    -mayo
    -ranch dressing
    -ketchup

I put catsup on the poll, but the best is catsup with mustard.

Once again, I agree with Squid! (Though I would leave out the "perhaps.")

"Follow-up" NEVER occured to me. I really thought you meant the other meaning (in jest). And I think some of your patients might wonder at the apparent vulgarity. :D

A light sprinkling of pepper is good on baked potatoes. But best of all on potatoes is baked beans or Mexican-style spicy beans. Other than that I agree with you. Butter and sour cream are disgusting. A plain baked russet potato with nothing on it is one of nature's delights.

    Another mayo hater!
I always felt like I was strange for not using mayo, so it's good to see I'm not alone. SOOOO many times I've ordered "hold the mayo" only to get mayo anyways, that I have to check my food right away before leaving.

Though I still feel like I'm a food wierdo, in that I don't eat cheese (except on pizza).

Strawberry shake. Kids at McDonalds stare at me when I do it. They're jealous. Tip - put some small fries directly into the shake so you have a nice mix of soaked fry bits at the bottom of the cup and drink the last half cup with the soaked fry bits, that is awesome. Vanilla and chocolate are not acceptable.

Crispy fries mounded with fresh chopped garlic=garlic fries. YUM! Count me as one who thinks mayo should only be used to lube axles.

Wow, I had no idea there was such discust about mayonaise out there. Seems like I always have to order it seperate with my food as they don't seem to include it anywhere when I want it.

Gave up "french fries" years ago. When a potato is deep fried it is no longer a potato, but a trans saturated fat grease sponge. Potatoes are also a simple carbohydrate, which the body treats as sucrose or table sugar. Trans-saturated fats are strongly implicated in cardiovascular disease and simple carbohydrates are a contributor to diabetes. I keep salt in my diet to a minimum, fat to under 10%.

We can all eat healthier fats and complex carbohydrates for higher quality health.
