    He's a pretty good writer, opinionated as hell, but aren't we all. I think he was pretty fair and honest to tell the truth. The things he griped about were subjective things, for the most part, that it would be hard to argue with. He doesn't like the body design...fine, I think Volvos are ugly, but the legions who love them couldn't care less. Doesn't like the dash display, fine, takes some getting used to something that non-traditional.

    We've all got our biases, I doubt anyone in this group agrees with him, but that's his piece. He edged toward unfairness a bit. I didn't mind him saying MPG is about 45 (fair enough in his environ and probably closer to what most people will see in real life than the EPA numbers), but then to quote verbatim the 11.3sec 0-60 without testing isn't quite fair since It'll get to 60 a full second quicker than that (OK, still not muscle car time, but not too bad).

    Anyway, I wouldn't get on a big rampage about the dispariging article. It would have been worse if he'd quoted false information and such. We each have our taste, likes and dislikes--this isn't his cup-o-T

    Also, the site is pistonheads.com . I'd assume it's a site for high performance cars. I'm surprised they even reviewed the Prius, but the facts he listed were reasonable, except that the 0-60 should have been better. The opinions were what I'd expect from someone who want to drive sprots cars and only sportscars.

    This is EXACTLY the kind of advertising we need until Toyota can gin up the numbers. Discourage people from buying right away until there's some sanity in the process. Meanwhile, I'm happily waiting for my slab sided, heavily window-posted, high floor, triggerfish shaped car with the split rear window....which I think is kinda cute, actually.
    A pair of ruby lips over the grill and eyelashes over the headlights would go a long way too.

    He also could not have spent too much time with the car as the display can be turned off. (don't know why you would want to though)

    Does Motor Trend's Car of the Year testing not qualify? It has the Prius doing 0 to 60 in 9.8 sec; and, the 1/4 mile in 17.04 (?, definintely "0" something) at 81 MPH. Overall, pretty impressive.

    What car was he describing? I didn't notice anything he was complaining about. Well, almost, the rear window split is annoying but it only took a little time to get used to.

    The speedo and fuel gauges are placed perfectly. The front windshield provides a better view than any sports car. If this guy is a muscle head then how can he complain about the view in the prius. My old 1989 firebird has a windshield nearly twice as long and at an even more extreme angle and I could still see to drive.

    The seats are up to high because of the battery? This is a bad thing? Sports cars' seats are way too low for anyone to get comfortable in. The fact the seat is up high is a good thing. It allows for more comfort and a better view of the road.

    If he is complaining about the A pillars he has never ridden in a sports car either. The A pillars in a classic muscle car are horrible. The moderns are better but still no where near as good as the prius. Besides they put that little window in for a reason!

    This guy might be a gear head but he knows very little about the cars most people drive. We can't all have a 1965-1972 muscle car that gets about 10mpg!

    Triggerfish shaped car! PERFECT description if I ever read it. LOL :)

    It took me one second to absolutely love the far-placed speedo readout, and I kinda wonder if he looked at it from an ergonomic standpoint. To me it is quite superior to the more closely placed "traditional" readouts, mostly for the elimination (almost) of the need to re-focus...
