Just got done installing my ScanGauge 2 in the slot under the radio. I ended up not being able to remove that tray, as it is what holds the unit in the opening. After routing the cable inside and removing the felt bottom of the tray, I drilled a hole in the bottom rear center of the tray. It was big enough to fit the cable plug through it. Now if I ever want to use the tray for storage, all I have to do is put the felt bottom back in and it covers the hole. By closing the lid cover my ScanGauge 2 is hidden from view when not in use and protected from sun damage.

I received my ScanGauge on Saturday, thank-you Danny. :)

The Post Office tried to take the shine off it by charging me £8 purely to collect £13.39 of tax.

I have it positioned just above the driver's side air vent on a non slip mat, held down by a bean bag frog. the cable goes over the steering column and down to the socket. Seems a fair place, the alternative might be to have it just behind the steering wheel, looking through the wheel to read it.

All I have to do now is understand what it is telling me :D

OK, I wasn't going to... But I think I need something more to play with.

Standing by with money. Please let me know how to spend it.

Add me to the list, I ordered mine last night! How long am I looking at waiting for the next shipment to roll out and make it to me?

    Thanks for the great deal!

Oops. I missed the part where I was supposed to find a place to order these. I stopped reading when Danny said he'd contact us after posting here. :)

    Danny,

    I am interested.
Would you or anyone else know what Canada Customs charge in duty, beside the GST?

    Thanks,

    Phil

I remember paying something like $28.50 for tax plus GST.

In the corner is where I installed mine...

I was surprised how well the wire disappeared into the dash. It effortlessly poked behind the seal of the door and tucked underneath the steering-wheel area.

The location is very handy, almost in your line-of-sight. Yet, not distracting.

Nope. SG-II can not only read but it can also write. The best thing to do is to get the model/year specific data sheets so that you not only know the code designations but also all possible legal values.

Perhaps the most commonly used "write" function is the re-setting of the MIL warning light. I've used this feature quite a few times (especially after inadvertently running my 12V battery empty).

    Cheers;

    MSantos

This has been made a permanent part of the Prius store (use the Prius Accessories pull-down menu at the top of this page, and choose the Prius Accessory Shop). Still the same great price...!

I'm not certain I'd buy one at the moment. I'm still waiting on mine. Getting a bit anxious. Ordered and paid for it on April 24th, yes I read about the store issue in the other section. But still it's been 3-weeks and I haven't heard or seen anything.

I've PM'd and EM'd Danny last week. Still I've heard or seen nothing. What's next???

<_< As mentioned previously, Danny has placed the ScanGauge II in the "store" as an available item, at the same price as the 'group' buy.

I have not yet seen a confirmed purchase from the 'store,' though. The price on the scan gauge web site is $169.95, so you can order one if you're in a hurry and have an extra $19.95.
