After six months of plotting, I have finally pulled the trigger. It is an 07 Touring Pkg #3.

After a mere 24 hours, here are my observations so far:

    1. No complaints about power. It might be a hair quicker from a dead stop than my Subaru Forester was.
    2. The stereo sounds way better than I expected from all the "meh" comments I read here. Maybe my expectations are low; I have a history of being cursed with crappy car stereos.
    3. Very comfortable inside.
    4. I was thrilled to find out the auto A/C function can change the fan speed, and overall seems to work really well. Having to go into the menus on the mini-computer isn't the liability I thought it would be. Plus the A/C cools very well!
    5. Getting about 40 mpg so far driving the way I normally drive. Die OPEC die! :D
    5. Fun to drive, looks great, less filling.

Congrats :) I am a new owner myself... How much did your pinstripe cost? Is it painted or stickered? Good Pix!

The stripe was part of the "extra mile" package so can't really figure the cost for it alone. It is tape I think.

I would like to put my name on the drivers side and my wifes on the passenger side with the pinstripe. I am still shopping around locally and trying to figure out what color. I have a friend who knows a guy... lol... I am gonna call him tomorrow... I think paint would look best because of the names... Not even sure if they can sticker the names...

Sorta like on the fighter planes..... name and then call sign..

to the original poster: very nice car.!! Is the "wood" trim standard from the dealer? or did you add that on? I've never seen it come from the dealer like that, or maybe a "port" add on ? Regardless, nice, very nice!! Makes me want to go clean mine up!

Welcome to all of you folks!!! :D

The wood applique is also part of the extra mile pkg "C." They are listed on the Toyota site if you do the "build your own" thing, but according to the sticker they are installed by the distributor.

As far as the stripes - I think painted has to be better all the way around, even without special stuff like the names.

Change the MFD color to "Orange" and it matches with the wood perfectly. <_<

    To the OP:

Wow! Beautiful! Congrats!! We have the same taste, because I have the same color. Nice choice. Real classy looking IMHO. Plus it covers and hides dirt very well.

Now you need to get a clear bra installed on the hood and front bumper and rear mirrors to protect your finish from any flying debris. ;) Do it right away while it is brand new, you wont' regret it.

I wish you all the best of luck with your Prius! And welcome!

Now that you have it, ZAINO it! Mine is the same color and the Zaino made it really shine! When it gets wet the water drops look like quicksilver!

Congrats on the new prius! I just got mine last week. You should have the 3M clear bra put on to protect it while it's still unchipped. I had mine done right away, and it's so worth it.

I'm liking the wood trim in yours. I normally don't really care, but that really does look nice in our cars. I had no idea we could get it. Perhaps my next prius should be custom ordered....LOL.
