Awesome!! And to quote darreldd (not sure if he coined this or not):

    No plug? No deal.

Plug me in and just watch the units fly out the door. C'mon Toyota, you really don't want that GM Volt to come out 1st (cough, cough), do ya?

Kinda reminds me of the 50's future car - prototype - American Motor's Pacer - too much window surface thingie. Imagine crossing interstate 15 around Vegas . . . middle of the summer, about 124 degrees in the shade. The ad man saying, "doubles as a microwave!" :p

I like it but I think all the people who pick their nose in the car may be less than thrilled. :D

It looks like a relative of the Prius - without the storage, but it appears to have more room for the passengers.

Interesting to look at, but I don't really like it. It gets hot here, so I want lots of shade when I'm driving.

And can you imagine buying a full set of window shades for that thing? You'd need front, back, and top at the very least. :(

I wouldn't mind the next Prius --looking-- a lot like that. BUT is would have to have the same usability (luggage capacity) as the current one. Front and back leg room should be --AT LEAST-- as much as it is now if not a few inches more for both.

Here in New England, you can't have enough window surface (at least in the winter).

With that much glass it'd cost a small fortune to tint

Very cool, but concepts are just that. I'll get excited when we see what the next Prius is *really* going to look like.

The abundance of glass does make me cringe at the susceptibility to vandalism. (Some teenage idiot smashed a couple of windows out of my (now-traded) truck while we were away on vacation last year.)

Will Toyota offer a CIWS option? :D

Way too much glass, and therefore environmentally wasteful. Glass weighs so much more than steel that unless they are using some kind of lightweight polycarbonate, they are just throwing gas mileage away.

You may have something there, with photochromeic reaction for self darking in the sun and top solar cells for more efficiency. A good plug, the best in the new Mag-Li-Polmer batteries. lets get this 100 mpg beauty out on the market. Hey don't forget great sound with Ipod aux in and control on the streeing wheel, a great bluetooth phone setup, outstanding NAV and non chincy interior. Plus the ICE able to burn gas or up to E85 fuel, All this time between prototypes and production is silly, Stop the slow plodding evolutionary 5 year plan and go, take the market by storm it there for the taking don't wait for the rest to make the jump ahead they don't have a infrastructure set in place to hold them back. It's like puulling teeth to get them to move.
