Pricing/dealers in the Seattle area?

    One of my friends in the Seattle area is looking to buy a new Prius, non-touring package #5, and he seems to be getting the runaround from dealers up there. My impression, being down in NorCal, is that Priuses should be in good supply and good deals should be had, so I'm surprised he's having trouble. Has anyone up there had the same experience recently?

    After much searching late last year, I bought my Touring #6 from Bob Bridge Toyota in Renton and was very happy with the whole transaction. They sold it under MSRP, just above invoice, and no hassle whatsoever. I would recommend them. Ask for Shawn.

    Second for Bob Bridge. Good experience. Straight forward negotiations. Good folks. Just bought a package 2 today. Sold for 200 over invoice.

    I just bought my Prius from Burien Toyota. Overall experience was meh but I came out OK on pricing relative to what other people seem to be paying. Package #6 with floor/cargo mats and the applique junk was $26,036. Bottom line with all taxes, fees, etc was $28,620. It was about $300 over factory invoice (with the factory invoice including about $800 or so for holdback and advertising).

    Another vote for Burien Toyota and Matt. I paid $200 over invoice for an '07 Touring package #3. I just emailed him, got that price with zero bargaining and went in and picked it up. This was May 6, fwiw.
