We're close to buying a Prius (base, PKG#2) and was wondering if anyone here could recommend a good dealer here in Denver. I'd like to haggle them down to below $22k for the car - and would prefer $21,500 plus tax only. I'd be interested in what you paid, pre-tax, as well as your overall experience. Thanks in advance for your time.

Bought my Red Prius Touring through Internet at Burt Toyota 2 weeks ago today. Brad Ambrozevitch was a terrific & curtious salesman. Invoice pricing. He found just what I wanted and still continues to keep in touch to make sure everything is OK.
I've bought many news cars in my 60 years & he is among the top!

Phone. 303-789-6626. (internet sales) Tell him Mike referred him.

I just bought from Burt Toyota on Friday, May 11th. I worked with Deb Gaw. I also had a good experience. They are still car dealers though! Keep your guard up. Don't let them sell you the warranty. Doug offered me a "great price" on it for $1165 (look around here, I think it's going for $965). I politely declined. If you have them order your car new, I might suggest requesting they not add the Colorado Burt sticker to the back of the car. I was able to peel mine off though.

Just buy my red 06 package 6 w/ 5k miles, great shape, for $22,000?

I, of course, would then go buy an 07.

;) But I'd lose the $700 Federal and $3000 Colorado tax benefits though.

I bought mine at Mountain States. It was a good experience overall (and I learned a lot about buying a new car, this was my first time). I walked onto the lot and drove off in a Prius, in OCT '05 no less.
