The 16th would be good with me too, and I agree that it might be better (at least for a first meeting) to have everyone bring their own picnic lunches.

I'm not familiar with the layout of Glen Echo; do we have to specify a place to meet, or is there one picnic area?

Here's a link to pdf map of the park: Glen Echo Map

Raen -- you're closest so why don't you pick out the best spot for us to park and meet?

Chart -- Be sure to bring some of that scout popcorn with you so we can buy it

I think bringing your own picnic is the best option. Where are we meeting at Glen Echo? Somewhere in the parking lot by our Prius' Or if we are meeting in the park? we can meet by the carousel and see what tables are available for picnicking (sp?) and then later go check out our Prii.

My daily commute takes me from Mount Airy, MD (just east of Frederick) to BWI airport everyday. Up until now, I rarely see any Prii. Yesterday on the way west on MD 100 I followed an identical Salsa Red 2004 until I reached US-29. I lost that one, but almost immediately found a 2004 Tideland to follow all the way down I-70 until we exited at MD-27. Hopefully these Prii hear about our meet. We're slowly taking over.....

I liked the idea of having some type of cookout or picnic last fall, unfortunately the weather was less than ideal. Hopefully we can try it again soon, or maybe something else entirely.

I had one thought, with Earth Day coming up, it might be a good opportunity to further educate the public about hybrid technology. Does anyone know of any events coming up that might be interested in having some hybrid cars displayed?

You'll see me around 6:00am to 6:35am along Roberts Road, Zion, Guinea, Braddock, I-495 and I-395 and off on Seminary Road in 1984 Toyota Corolla 4-door white with a little over 105,000 miles and nothing like Prius fuel efficiency. My wife's mother had the car for 13 years until she died in Atlanta at age 93. I have put all the miles on the car since just before 45,000
