Not trying to beat a dead horse into the ground here but is it pointless to apply for CA carpool stickers this late in the game? I'm hoping there's a waiting list and Mr. Arnold will add more "availability" next year....

Any feedback? It's so depressing siting in traffic watching all of these Prius' and Civic's fly by you int he carpool lane :(

Instead of beating a dead horse, why didn't you jump on while it was still alive? :)

What package do you have? I'll trade you my '05 with 47,000 miles on it with the HOV stickers. :)

They discontinued the stickers in February. I have not heard of any more being offered.

Gee, what an interesting way to get informatilon.

You could have asked the California DMV, who are responsible for the stickers.

But instead you asked us, and we have no real info.

But ten seconds of thought might have revealed that DMV is the place to call for accurate information, rather than hearsay from us.

Geez relax Rick. I thought this was a friendly place to chat and get information but apparently I was wrong...I guess this is just another forum where you have to screen your posts thoroughly before posting for fear of getting flamed.

Asking a question is not a reflection of my intelligence or my ability to invoke "ten seconds of thought" ... my intention was "Hey, this is a Prius forum, there are lots of people on here that have done more research than I have ... maybe they have some information that I haven't found yet."

Do you have anything constructive or friendly to say? If not, move on...thanks.

Hey Bendial... rest assured this IS a friendly place to get information. Some people apparently haven't had to sit on hold with the DMV for eons only to get the run around to get a simple question answered.

Alas, I believe you are out of out of luck for the HOV stickers though. I'm grateful for mine everyday as I live on the 91 freeway.

Is anybody else tired of all the whining about stickers, no stickers? There were stickers, now there are no stickers, End of story. If you didn't get them, shut up already. :( (Or get a carpool buddy)

Whining here won't bring them back. Whine to Washington, Sacramento, DMV, or whoever can bring them back. We can't.

Seems to me if you're tired of threads about car pool stickers, you wouldn't be reading them or posting to them. Why not just ignore them and read or post to what interests you? There is no need to be insulting.

Yeh, but PC is more interesting than the DMV. Besides, some people understandably have an aversion to interacting with the DMV.

I will admit that in Spokane the DMV has dramatically improved in the last 10 - 15 years. Actually, I don't remember when the improvement happened.

My reaction to this thread is partly a result of the endless other threads about "What will come out in 2008?" and "Is this a good price?" that never seem to end.

My stock replies from now on will be "Something different" and "Yes, buy it right now."

I guess the only difference between them and myself is I'm already a Prius owner.

This is a forum on those very subjects. New people sign up every day.

For questions that can be easily answered with a search of previous form topics, do a search then throw them the link while reminding them to search. I don't understand the attitude people are throwing around here lately.

In the end, if it is such a drag for you to deal with those people then why bother even replying? Let someone else answer them. Why go out of your way to be rude?
