I did a little dance when I found out I secured the plate.

I thought it would be hard to get an unused vanity plate (like it's hard to get a Yahoo! screen name) but MOREMPG was my first choice!

My second and third choices were .NET or CSHARP (Microsoft programming stuff), so my wife is happy she won't have to drive around with the nerdy backup choices! :D

My wife does not want me spending money on something the state normally gives me for free so I won't be getting a personal plate. When I got Priapus in 2004, GM was smashing cars. I wanted a plate: "RIP EV1"

Congrats :) I just went simple with mine "PRIUS" ... too many crazies where I live.. They might trash my car if I said something like 50MPG or anything else implying that my car is better...

    Way cool. Congrats.
I just found out we're a two Prii family. My oldest in Paonia, CO, just bought an '02. I'll tell her MOREMPG is taken. :)

A guy I work with owns a Honda Insight and said that his SIPNGAS plate was on the way (tell your oldest THAT one's taken too, screaming red), and that he shied away from something like 60 MPG so as not to offend anyone.

I thought of MOREMPG in terms of "I love my hybrid" more than "your car sucks". I actually never considered the idea that it might be offensive or get my car trashed. Now I'm a little worried!

By the way, what exactly is the purpose of a BT plate? What does it do?

I've seen a bunch of posts about it.

I was thinking of buying a plate with the word "SOUTEN" to match my pearl blue prius.

Souten is a Japanese word meaning Azure (Blue) Sky. Thus referring both to the color, and the hope that the sky will remain blue.

It stiffens the chassis for better stability on road. Do a search for "BT Plate" in Mods Forum, lots of info there.

A friend in the San Jose area who also drives a Prius saw a red one with the license plate:
    • HYBBRED
Another good plate for that color would be:
    • CARMINE
    .

I'm surprised there aren't PriusChat members getting their PC username on their plates! I just checked mine for Massachusetts. 6 letter max, but I could get "IKABOD" if I wanted ;)
