All right, so I chickened out at the last minute about installing all the mods I got from Coastal myself and went to check out Auto Essentials (I'd spoken to Jason on the phone earlier, and he assured me he'd done Coastal installs before)
They did a great job! Granted, not as a cheap as doing it myself, but I'm sure it was more time efficient and certainly less dangerous (I'm not mechanically-inclined). ! All said and done, the price was competitive, and I like that they stand by their work 100% -when the EV Mode install didn't work, they helped me arrange for Coastal to send in a new one, installed it, and re-tested everything, free of charge.
So if your're in SoCal, and need pros to help you with the NavLockpick3, the EV mode, the hitch, XM radio, and the 12v power outlet, give Jason or Rich a call 805-371-9983 www.auto-essentials.com

Thanks! This is really valuable information. I need some mods done, but would like a pro to have their hand on the process.

Another vote for Richard and Jason. Have been using them for a few years and always happy with the results.

Thanks for the recommendation-may I ask about how much it costs to install just the Lockpick 3?

    Thanks for the kind words.

As far as having the Lockpick installed. It is about an hour job to get it in and tested. The price that you would be chagred you would be looking at $75.
