No witty comments please. I thought I'd reach out to my fellow prius community and ask if anyone has a front bra they would let me borrow for my upcoming cross country trip? I've seen some clear coat bra's on ebay for around $35 OTD, but I don't want to deal with the application and have no idea if they're any good. I'd give it back immedietely after we finished the trip, and would give it a nice washing for you. Anyone??? Thoughts???

    Thank you in advance.

I've seen some VW guys use blue painters tape. Provides some decent protection and is easily removed.

OR, for the less ghetto method, there's a spray on product designed to provide a temporary black matt finish to protect your car and it's supposed to be easily removable too.

Does the spray on stuff actually work??? I drove through a swarm of bees driving home 5 miles from the dealership and am nervous about taking it cross country without protection.

I've done 35,000 miles on the LA freeways in the last year and a half. Even with all the gravel trucks, etc. the front end still looks pretty good. Just give it a good wax job, and use some cleaner wax when you get home. I've had bras on cars, and think they are more trouble than they're worth.

It does depend on color. The Prius is white, and my Subaru is dark red, and shows everey stone chip. My wife's Outback is also white, and looks very good after 10 + years, 110,000 miles, some of it off-road.
