Will be taking my primobile on her first real road trip. Driving from CT to Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine then over to Canada.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. :D

    Thanks

    Just have fun!

One thing I noticed on my first road trip -- I was wearing shorts, and I found the seat cushion (mine is fabric, not leather) to be a bit scratchy after a couple of hours. Luckily I had a beach towel handy so I folded it in half and put in on the seat, and that solved it. I had been comfortable enough in long pants or wearing shorts during short trips, but sitting on the fabric for more than 90 minutes or so was not so great for me.

But that was my only problem. So like I said, have fun!

Set that donut spare to 60 psi before you pack over it :)

Take a small first aid kit, a flashlight, some emergency high calorie food (granola bars, nuts), cellphone (if you don't have one, get a temporary pre paid one), a compass or a GPS if you don't have Nav. :)

If you are traveling with females, take even more toilet paper. :p

Don't pack any cargo, i.e. luggage, or the extra weight will drag your mpg down.

Fill up in ME before entering Canada. During cross country I like to top off when I see "low" or "usual" gas prices and I can get a few gallons in the tank. Stopping to stretch every few hours helps the circulation. Above all, enjoy.

A map is pretty good to have, even if you have a nav. Before you go on a longer trip, it's wise to fill up on washer fluid & check tire pressure.
