Right now I am in the market for 2007 Prius with package #6.

I have been shopping around but it seems like there is close to none 2007 Prius with package #6. Most of the dealers I tried to contact are either don't have anything in stock or doesn't even reply back to my inquiries. And many of who replied back say that I must order 2008 and get the car in August or September.

Only problem is that I am in a weird situation that I must buy a car within a month or so.. which means I might have to pass Prius all together. (2008 being the last model year for this generaion doesn't encourage me much either)

This is just too sad. Sad. Sad. :(

Yep. A few weeks ago I went out and looked at trading in my 2002 Prius for a 2007 #5 (IMHO #6 leather is crazy when you live in Nevada :) ). I checked every dealership within about 500 miles, and there were literally none available. Occasionally I'd find one and it would be taken by someone else in the time I spent with the fleet manager on the phone. I finally had to settle for a #4.

Unlike the domestics, one can't wait until the end of the model year and still expect a wide selection at the dealership. If you are happy with the car, keep shopping. I just checked the inventory of 3 local dealers. CH has 3. Liberty has 2 (1 Touring). Lawrence has 0. All look like lower models. Maybe looking a bit farther away will help. A Prius in hand is worth two Volts in a bush.

The Toyota dealers in the Seattle area have plenty of Prii and are extremely responsive to inquiries. When the dealer I chose didn't have my config in stock (Mag. Grey w/ Pkg. #2) he ordered it for me and less than two weeks later the order has been filled by Toyota and I'm just waiting for it to arrive in Seattle.

The downtown Seattle location in particular has many Prius to choose from - 42 right now (and some must be w/ higher end packages based on the prices):

I was going to fly to Spokane and buy the car there (a little cheaper) and drive it back, but that turned out not be necessary. But maybe there is coastal road trip in your future?

    Good luck!

Unfortunately, when you call or go to the dealer, those 42 cars sold weeks->months ago. The dealers here just don't update their websites very often :(

Don't believe them! I was told the same thing last week and was able to buy a 2007 Prius Touring with Package 6 at SF Toyota. Alameda still had a few last week and Marin had a white one. The non-touring was much easier to find.

Unfortunately I think you have to go in to get a true answer on supply. Don't give up hope yet!

Really? When I was looking for my Prius at the start of May, All I could find was Package 5 and 6! Elk Grove Toyota had plenty, as did Maita Toyota. They had to search for a package 2 for me.

I'm guessing you've already checked out City Toyota in Daly City, but I just looked at their online inventory and they have 51 Prii. Perhaps one might be a package #6? We bought our Prius (#2) there a month ago and it was a very pleasant experience. :)

You might want to check in the south east and see if they will ship to you. I know that some dealers in Fl are expecting a few with package 6 next week.

I am in the same situation as you. I ordered one from a local dealer then sold my car unexpectedly and need a prius today. I found one about 121 miles from my home and am going to get it Wed. I had to settle for a different color but I couldn't wait.

You will probably get a better deal going through a fleet or internet manager instead of a salescritter in the showroom...

    To the OP:

I just looked at Maita Toyota (Sacramento), it looks like they have (4) package #6, 2 White, 1 Red, 1 Not Specified.

It might be worth it to give them a call. [attachmentid=9031]

I'm in the same boat. I can get one but only if I skip a number of options that I would really like.

I would be willing to wait for a 2007 Touring #6 Black/Dark Gray, but I can't even find two of the three criteria in a 500 mile range of here. Given that I'll keep it for 5+ years, I am being picky about it.

Starting to wonder if I should look at a Camry Hybrid :/

I had good luck with Henry Pun at Melody Toyota in San Bruno. We drove down from Sacramento to pick up our white package #5. He held it for us for two days. No hassle, no haggling. Great price.

There were several package #6s up here at the end of May. Try Magnussons in Auburn, Thompsons in Placerville, Roseville Toyota, or Maita in Sacramento, but be prepared to haggle.

    Good Luck.

You could also trying working with http://www.carsdirect.com and let them handle obtaining the Prius and getting it to a dealer near you who simply completes the transaction on their behalf. I bought my last car this way (though not a Prius) and it was a simple and pleasant (and cost effective) experience.

That's how I got mine a year and a half ago. Easiest car purchase I ever did. The same day I registered (free) they found a car (50 miles away). Drove out that night, wrote the check, and was done in about an hour. Yeah, carsdirect.com .

You will most likely have to phyiscally go to a Toyota dealer and find a hungry salesperson who is willing to find one for you. If the first one doesn't appear interested go to to the next salesperson.

After three aren't helpful phyisically go to another dealer. I'm guessing by the second dealer you will find someone who will be helpful.

I walked into Toyota Walnut Creek last friday and found a Seaside Pearl #6, one day off the boat, sitting on the lot. I only wanted a #5, but all they had was beige interior, which I hate, so I went with the #6. Stop by or give them a call, this is my second Prius, both purchased from Toyota W.C. by simply walking in off the street. Like others have said, the web pages are pretty much worthless.
