What did you think I meant? :D :p

I have had my Wii for about 2 weeks now and I'm just wondering what games to get that are fun to play on the Wii.

I've been a fan of Sega ever since the Genesis and this is my first Nintendo console since the NES. I would have been %100 Sega if I known about the Master System back then. Anyway Sonic is number 1 in my book so I got Sonic and the Secret Rings. I have not been able to play it much but it seems to be pretty fun.

I play tennis and bowling in real life and find the tennis and bowing games on Wii sports is almost like the real thing specially bowling. Real life I have an average of about 170 and its the same for the Wii so far. Baseball kind of sucks ( just like in real life ) mostly because most of the time I hit the ball I'm out. Plus I never can hit the ball right. Most of the time I foul. Guess I need to work on my timing. Golf is boring in real life but as a video game I find it more fun just because I can actually get the ball off the tee more than 5 feet. Boxing is fun at the beginning but as the AI gets harder its starting to piss me off because I cant dodge or hit the opponent. Just about every time I try to throw a punch the damn thing dont punch. I think it just the way I'm throwing the punch and I just need to practice a little more.

I've heard Cars is a good fun game to play. I'm thinking about getting it. I love driving games and plan on getting Excite Trucks and GT Pro Series. I heard Elebits is pretty fun. Wario Ware Smooth moves is fun if you have a lot of people. Same with Mario Party.

So what games do you think are fun to play on the Wii?

Oh also if your from another country and recommend a region only game I might still be able to play it because I just installed a little chip that can help me with that. ;) I love imports! :)

if you're into zelda, definitely check that out. i poured a bunch of time into that one. we've rented a few too... let's see. elebits was interesting but i lost interest after a few levels. rayman raving rabbids was entertaining for a while too, but to do any of the party games you need a few people. DH played cars and enjoyed it but the steering controls were weird, he said. paper mario was interesting. i can't recall if we've tried anything else. (the one redeeming aspect of blockbuster video: the game pass ;))

DH just got sonic for his birthday, i haven't played it yet but he's enjoying it so far.

wii sports is awesome for parties... we had some people over last month and had a great time playing tennis especially.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is a masterpiece and showcases very well the Wii controllers. I also like Super Paper Mario and Mario Party 8.

I am really looking forward to Resident Evil 4: Wii edition, Mario Strikers, and probably the one I anticipate the most, Metroid: Corruption.

I played the Wii a lot when I first got it but it's now taken a back seat to my other game systems. I can see you excite truck cheap if you want. I've only played it twice.

Warioware is fun and very humerous, but does not have a lot of longevity. It's good to drag out a parties. I just picked up Big Brain Academy because I had a lot of fun with the brain games on the Nintendo DS.

Resident Evil 4 is probably the must have title of the moment. I had the gamecube version and will probably get it for the wii just to see how it fares with the new controllers.

Zelda is probably the go-to game for the Wii.

I have SSX Blur and Mario Party 8. Blur is pretty fun cause now you're waving your arms in the air rather than button mashing when you're doing tricks in the air.

MP8 is great with 2 players (Duel Battle or Battle Royale) or with 4 players. 6 boards (love the Bowser Warped Orbit board) and 2 new characters (Hammer Bro and Blooper).

    must haves:
    Zelda
    Paper Mario

    worth checking out
    Super Monkey Ball
    Red Steel
    Wario ware

Dont forget about the virtual console, there is already alot of classic games released including several titles from your beloved Genesis:
    I recommend
    Zelda Ocarina in time
    Mario 64
    Zelda 1
    Sonic 1
just to name a few (every monday afternoon they release additional titles)

Oh and also if you didnt know wii is compatible with gamecube games, so go to the used store and pick up a gamecube controller and games dirt cheap, (resident evil, mario kart, pikmin, wind waker, metroid)

I would say boxing and tennis on Wii Sports makes you move the most.

I never did like Zelda. I just never could get into it. I have read online that people like the new Zelda game mostly for the fishing. :) I think I might give Zelda a try.

I'm going to stay away from the virtual console games until they come down in price. Paying about $8 for an old game is way to much in my book. I could go on ebay and buy the console and a bunch of gamse for that price. Plus I currently have every game ever made for all cartrage based consoles on my hard drive. I may buy some virtual console games if they get around a dollar a game. At that price point I would much rather play an emulation on a console than an emulation on the PC.

I've rather liked Elebits and Super Paper Mario. I'm currently adicted to Kororinpa Marble Mania.

I'm using the Block Buster Total Access service for movie rentals and it comes with one coupon a month for a free movie or game rental. I've been using it for the games. They have all the Wii ones that have been released. Technically, the rentals are 1 week, but with their no late fee policy, you can actually hold onto them for about 13 days before they charge you for the game.
