Hey everyone. You know the new commercial with the rolling wheel and the Prius spotlighted at the end . . . does anyone know the name of the song that is playing? My wife really likes the song but neither of us knows what it is or who the artist is. Thanks for the help. :?

With some minor Googling, I've come up with the name "Fischer". The song isn't officially released yet and the original song title was going to be "Beautiful Life".

Here's a link to the band's site, but there's nothing I could find about the song.

In the news section on that site it says their CD will be out in March. It also says Toyota will post a 1 minute version of that song on the Toyota website soon.

If you all haven't been here, this is a great website for trying to decide if you're going to like a band before actually hearing their music. It's called Music Plasma at www.musicplasma.com (It's scripting intensive and I don't recommend it for dial-up connections).

You type in the name of an artist or band and it will make the connections to other artists or bands. If you like the connections, it's a good bet that you will like the one in question. Likewise, you can enter a band you really like and it will give you ideas for new bands to sample. I have found it pretty helpful in expanding my listening pleasure.

For example, I did a search on Fisher and got the following hits. I'm only putting the first-degree of separation. Heliotrope, you can tell me if these are musically related to Fisher.
    - Maren Ord
    - Tara MacLean
    - Grey Eye Glances
    - Cindy Alexander
    - Chantel Kreviazuk

    Howdy,

On my daily trip to toyota.com, I found that they have offered the Fisher song for downloading. They have a small little introduction and "history" about the song. I was hoping that I could download the commercial! I like the Prius scene; maybe that will come next...

Excellent! Thanks guys. I think it would be great to be stuck in traffic, surrounded by a dozen cars, sitting in Priapus with the windows down cranking "Beautiful Day". I'll be a rolling commercial. :-D

If only I could find a way to mount my solar powered Sunshine Buddy...

Where did you get the GIANT HYBRID decal?

I am also making a plug plate for my Prius and also thinking about getting some help in making up a plate that could be easily produced and perhaps even marketed for us few Prius owners who enjoy this kind of humor and spoofing our friends or other drivers who are not in the know.

Although there are not any commercials that are for the Prius outright.. if you look hard at TV shows you will see them... I don't watch Bobby and Jack, but read that there is one there... the Prius actually got a part in Two & a Half Men... the last shot in Cold Case had one parked by a motorcycle...

I guess as Prii owners we are Toyota's best and cheapest rolling commercial....I love mine, and will take the time to tell anyone who might ask...how about you?
