awesome Honda Power of Dreams ad

    Hope this isn't a repost (I dug around) but I thought the ad below was pretty awesome. I'd never seen it before.

    It shows the interesting evolution of Honda products pretty well (I think there's a Honda S600 in there). I found out about it from http://blogs.edmunds.com/.ee9c24b which has some other interesting ads.

    I thought for sure he would pull out of the waterfall in a Honda little airplane (whatever they're called).

    I find that story to be an amazing example of what Honda can do when it puts it's company behind something. They approached several manufacturers of microjets about making a jet engine for them and were turned down because they have no turbine experience. So instead of slinking off into the darkness Honda says" Alright, well just make the whole thing then!" Amazing!

    I too, expected the HondaJet to emerge out of the falls mist. The noise and the speed were there... I think they actually did the hot air balloon on purpose just to surprise us and throw us all off. I guess, what they are trying to say is that they always surprised us and they will continue to do so.

    I can't help but to think of Honda is a company of engineering fanatics. I would even add that they basically have no equals... well, perhaps Ferrari exemplifies a more severe extreme.

    Now if they could only stop being so humble and minimalistic and start broadening their marketing arms a little...

    My original YouTube link got pulled for some reason. Not sure why Honda wouldn't want someone to see it. Here's another copy or a modded version.



    But, here's something better (thanks to ABG), an updated version that DOES have the HondaJet and more!
