Um, no; actually, I had the urge to go out and buy all the action figures.

I had a revelation a little bit ago. If I'm going to see a movie based on Hasbro action figures (as it says in the end credits) and I don't expect a ton of product placement, then my expectations might be a little unrealistic.

Thinking back to the movie, though, I did realize something else as far as the cinema was concerned: it didn't excel in any one attribute (save for the awesome CGI); it had an excellent blend of all elements of a good movie and came through again and again.

Wow, just from seeing a movie?

To be honest, I'd think that revelations like these would more likely come from a spiritual place...but, hey--whatever it takes!

Saw the movie tonight with the grandson. Very cool effects and action scenes. It is also very blatantly used as a GM commercial. So I think it ends up working for GM in the same way all advertising does: it gets the product in front of the viewer in ways you will notice and remember. They managed to create a good movie experience that is also an extended commercial.
