    I was wondering the same thing. I've noticed the mpg starts to drop off on mine at around 84. (Which is usually when I go, "whoops! Dang, this car is so much smoother and quieter than my old Corolla!" and drop back below 80).

    I had an amusing conversation two days ago with a friend:

    "Yeah, he was busted in a blue Prius going 100mph. Guess I'll have to be a little more caref--" [I have a blue Prius and live in Orange County]
    "It gets up to 100mph?!!!"
    "Of course it does! Er, I mean... it does 85... just... fine..." :unsure:
