I did too, but also no dramatic results to note. I am considering using the K&N in the winter months and Toyota's stock filter in other months like an earlier post in another thread recommended. That post said K&N is better for moist air, but Toyota's part filters to a smaller particle size. Around here, moist is Nov. to April, but If you live in the East, moist seems most of the time!

Any body care to comment about K&N?

OK, here goes. K&N have removed their million mile warranty unless you install their "pre-filter". Make your own conclusions about this re filter effectiveness. I have never had a problem with K&Ns. I don't think they have a "pre-filter" for the Prius.

sho nuf yest got my k&n knockoff .. man it be so cheap ias a reuseable it about as cheap as a throw -away .. but i dont see much g/s increase .. if i had to say .. it would be less than 1g/s increase or less ..
the big advantage is reusing it .. like the previous guy said .. larger particles will get through meaning more dirt .. so in a dusty useage area .. that would be disadvantageous .. -- but lik ethe guy said .. the moist air (ie humid place like coastal) -- the water particles will be comeing in better (not that there is much energy in them -- just that they wont bet stopped as bad as on an OEM filter) -- --
-- the other claim to fame with this knockeff is not having to use an 'oiler kit ' -- k&n sells a degreasing and then regreasing(oiling) spray kit to use on their reuseables every 10k miles or so ..
-- generally k&n is performance oriented so .. nuthin much perf. about 0 to 60 in 11 seconds so ..
apply as needed to your givin situation , circumstances and environmental factors ...
